Baroness Ilora Finlay is Professor of Palliative Medicine and Vice-Dean in the School of Medicine, University of Wales College of Medicine (UWCM), and has worked with Marie Curie Cancer Care since 1987. She is also a member of the Science Committee of Cancer Research UK and of the international scientific expert panel of the Cicely Saunders Foundation. Prof. Finlay has published and lectured widely on palliative care, and researched into aspects of cancer palliative care. She established the internationally renowned Diploma and MSc courses in palliative medicine at UWCM.

On Wednesday, 29th September, Professor Finlay will be the keynote speaker in the seminar named Towards Palliative Care as a Speciality, which is also being organised by the Movement. If you wish to attend the seminar, you are kindly requested to complete an application form, which you will find in the wards.
