Friday, March 18, Conference of Health Insurance - 15/3/2005

The Consumer Affairs Council is organising a conference on health insurance on Friday, March 18, at 8.30 a.m. at the Corinthia Palace Hotel, Attard.

Annabritta Biederbick, specialist in German health insurance and social law at the Association of the Private Health Insurance's Legal Department, is going to discuss "The social responsibility aspect of health insurance".

Simon Camilleri, of the Malta Insurance Association, will discuss the question "Can the Maltese consumer afford health Insurance?',

Dr Mario Zerafa, from the Medical Association of Malta, will speak on "Health insurance: the medical profession's perspective",

Geoffrey Bezzina, consumer complaints manager, Malta Financial Services Authority, will discuss "How is the regulator protecting the consumer's interest?", and Joseph Mallia, a member of the Consumer Affairs Council, will reply to the question "Are the Maltese insured getting value for their money?"
