BOV seals agreement with Medical Association of Malta 30/01/2007

Bank of Valletta has signed a three year agreement which recognises BOV as the Official Bank of the Medical Association of Malta (MAM). This agreement forms part of a network of business strategic alliances that position BOV as a main supporter of business and professional associations within the community.

The agreement was signed at BOV Centre in Sta. Venera by Igino Xuereb, Chief Officer Operations of Bank of Valletta and by Dr. Stephen Fava, President and Dr. Martin Balzan, Secretary of the Medical Association of Malta.

The agreement will see Bank of Valletta offering added value to Malta's medical professionals in recognition of the most important role that they play within the Maltese society. It will also see BOV strengthening the relationship with the Medical Association of Malta and its members, making available its financial expertise to meet the unique and extensive requirements of Malta’s medical practitioners.

Commenting on this agreement Igino Xuereb said that “Bank of Valletta is proud to consolidate its relationship with the members of the Medical Association of Malta, the largest organisation representing the medical profession with a membership base exceeding 700.”

Mr Xuereb added, “We hope to continue adding value to your members through the comprehensive personal banking services that we can offer them. We are aware that, due to the exigencies of the medical profession, not much time is available that can be dedicated to maximise on the resources of one’s personal finance. It is here that Bank of Valletta is well positioned to manage the personal banking requirements of doctors, taking a long term view in supporting them to maximise their wealth."

Stephen Fava, President of MAM said that the Association was pleased to reach this agreement and sign a three year alliance with BOV on the basis of the solid reputation that the Bank has and its strength as a leading financial institution in Malta. He said that the MAM was very careful when it came to choosing its partners as they have to share the same values as the Association as well as project the same level of professionalism that is synonymous with the medical profession.
