Solidarity with Medical Colleagues in Gaza

The Medical Association of Malta (MAM) stands in unwavering solidarity with our medical colleagues and healthcare workers currently operating under unimaginable conditions in Gaza.

As doctors, we are bound by a universal commitment to the sanctity of life and the principles of medical neutrality. The deliberate targeting of healthcare infrastructure, obstruction of humanitarian aid, and endangerment of medical personnel are grave violations of international humanitarian law.

MAM joins the international medical community in calling for the immediate protection of healthcare workers and facilities, the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance, and a cessation of hostilities that continue to devastate innocent lives.

In times of conflict, it is the moral duty of all healthcare professionals to speak out—not in political partisanship, but in defense of life, dignity, and the right to care.

We stand shoulder to shoulder with our colleagues in Gaza and across conflict zones, who continue to uphold their oath amidst unthinkable adversity.
